ANYWAY, so I thought I’d show some of the foods we’ve been eating here in Hawaii.

In Hawaii you can get Spam and eggs for breakfast at some RESTAURANTS, haha. You can get also SPAM Musubi, which is rice and spam with seaweed rolled around it, like THIS….

Mauna pua – which is like a bread type thing with meat in the center, in this case pork. There is other stuff you can get inside, but we like this one…

Gyoza (aka Potstickers in chinese food) which where I live you can only get in the Fusion Japanese restaurant which is about 40 min. from my apartment….**sigh**
but yum!

Chichi dango – or mochi – a sweet rice cake treat – me likey…also can’t get on the mainland where I live in West By-God Virginia…

SOME NEWS:
My cousin Debra and her boyfriend Joe, both of whom are on this trip to Hawaii….got ENGAGED day before yesterday! Congrats!

and my friend Sal from California is here! Yep, he flew to Hawaii for his vacation!!! He’s been my friend for about 14 years. cool surprise! My mom knew he was coming over…sneaky sumbich…I’ll post pics of him later when I get them uploaded, but for now, some pics I’ve had waiting to post…

Ian was happy, he saw a sea turtle. The only thing that would’ve made it more complete would’ve been seeing a shark.

Ian likes these penny smashing machines….he’s got about 10 of them now from various places…$0.51 to smash a penny and emboss it with whatever touristy thing…but at least its a cheap souvenier hehe…
