Happy HNT

My HNT for today is my new do….I had not had my hair cut in nearly a year…yep, that’s right. I didn’t think that much time went by, but its true. So, yesterday, while doing day-after-Christmas shopping with our gift cards, I decided I wanted to get my hair cut. So, I went, and told her I just wanted to be able to put it in a ponytail when I want, and something not too high maintenance since I just work from home and so its not like I go out a lot anyway and I just didn’t want bangs….I can’t believe I trusted her with my hair, someone I’d never met or saw how she does hair, its not bad, its shorter than she originally told me it was gonna be, but I’m not sure yet if I like it.

First, a pic showing how long it was on Christmas day – down to my elbow in this pic

And then after, the pink shirt pic is when I just got home after hours of shopping and wanted to take a pic of my hair before I forgot, love the facial expression huh?

Back/side and just another shot

Oh, and my year’s favorite HNT is just one that reminds me to slow down and take a breath once in a while….it was July 2007, big family summer vacation to Hawaii…Up until this point I was stressed with my usual single-parenthood, working 2 jobs at 10-14 hrs a day, Ian with his two sports, and had just recently broke up from a long distance relationship…I was very stressed, but then we went on vacation and I got to RELAX, put my feet in the sand, watch my family in the distance playing in the ocean, and remember to count my blessings, and do something for ME for a change here and there….I love this moment so much its my background on my computer. So, my year’s favorite HNT…me with my feet in the sand at Waimea Bay Beach Park, family in the distance in the ocean, sun gleaming off the ocean, not-crowded beach….ahhhhh

Hope everyone is having a great week, and Happy HNT!

  7. Now that’s a great haircut!
I just cut mine too. Big job coming up and I couldn’t get control of my mop. Not that it’ll do much good. It grows out so fast that most people never even realize I had it cut. sheesh

    Have a great new year!
